APPROVED THERAPIST NETWORK
SHEARED, Inc. nor any SHEARED representatives are responsible for the care that any of these individuals or organizations give. However, we have, to the best of our ability, vetted their practices and made sure that they understand, are capable of, and qualified for, treating trauma, the root cause of so many mental and physical concerns. If you have any questions or concerns about any of these therapists, or if you are a professional and are interested in starting the process to see if you are a good fit for our network, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone at 502-SHEARED (502-743-2733) or via email at info@sheared.org. We are adding to our network continuously; if you don't see a therapist in your area, please contact us and we will do our best to find one for you in the process of growing our network.

Marjorie Lamphear, PhD
Welcome to my homepage! My name is Marjorie Lamphear and I am a licensed mental health counselor in private practice, working in Warwick, RI.
People come to counseling, or psychotherapy, for a number of reasons. Some may come because they need help and support in adjusting to an illness, traumatic experience, major loss, or some other life-changing event. Others may come out of a desire to grow or change, improve relationships, enhance communication, make an important decision, or solve a difficult problem. Still others may come because someone else told them they “have to” get counseling.
Whatever your reason for coming, entering into therapy is a big commitment – in terms of time, money, and energy. That is why it is so important to have information about the process and how a particular therapist works. This kind of information can relieve some of the stress about coming. It can also help you decide if you have found the right therapist. To help in this way, I provide a brief description of what to expect, information about my credentials, my areas of specialization, and the methods of payment that I accept. In addition, I have also included the necessary forms that you will be asked to fill out in advance if you decide to make an appointment.
