DETAILS

This event will be held twice, on Sunday, October 26th & Sunday, November 2nd at 6pm.

This event is a wonderful way to support a family in need, be entertained by Marissa Ghavami who won NBC's It's Showtime At The Apollo at 12 years old, and has gone on to perform professionally in Los Angeles and NewYork City over the past decade, (www.marissaghavami.com), enjoy delicious food and an evening out at one of Louisville's favorite restaurants (www.majidstmatthews.com/) and be educated on a topic that affects nearly every person you know in one way or another. Interpersonal trauma - from child abuse to domestic violence to cults, and everything in between - if left unhealed, leads to prolonged suffering, misdiagnoses and many people staying trapped in a cycle of abuse, addiction, dysfunction, re-victimization, toxic relationships, repeating the cycle, crime, homelessness, joblessness, suicide, and physical and mental illnesses. (Read more on our About Us page.)

There is hope for victims and their loved ones. During this concert fundraiser, Marissa will not only be singing a wide variety of pop and Broadway tunes, but will also be sharing her story of hope and healing as a former victim of one-on-one cultic abuse, weaving widely unheard of issues such as love bombing and trauma bonding, that are at the heart of so much suffering, into the songs and storytelling, educating her audience on trauma and its psychological, physiological and neurological effects and how proper education can break the cycle, stop victim blaming and put the shame back where it belongs, on the perpetrators, not the victims. Please join us for an incredible evening of passionate storytelling, beautiful music, delicious food and discourse on an issue that affects, albeit often secretly, so many.

The Concert Fundraiser will be held twice, on Sunday, October 26th & Sunday, November 2nd at 6pm, introducing SHEARED, (Spreading Hope for those Exploited and Abused by Repression, coercion, deception and battery of the body, mind and spirit through Education and Discourse) with 100% of the profit going to help a family similarly affected and in need, through an already established 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Please call 502-SHEARED (502-743-2733) or email info@sheared.org with any questions and to reserve your spot or if you can not attend but still wish to make a tax- deductible, charitable donation. Reservations necessary.
