Welcome! My work is with, and for, families who have lived with difficulties in their lives and as a result some times do not get along well and who are trying to cope with complex, even challenging behaviours. I focus on offering an understanding of what such stress can mean for individuals and for parent/carer-child relationships. I use an easy to understand explanation of brain development and early child to parent/carer attachment to offer explanations of behaviours and to create and offer a more harmonious onward journey for families.

SHEARED founder, Marissa Ghavami's radio interview with Dr. Laurie Roth on cults is available to listen to online
July 3, 2014
SHEARED founder, Marissa Ghavami, and co-founder, Debbie Ghavami were guests on the Dr. Laurie Roth Show on April 16, 2014. The Roth Show is nationally syndicated and has internet broadcasting in 79 countries. They spoke with Dr. Roth and co-host and human trafficking expert, Dottie Laster about Marissa's experience in a "one-on-one cult." Marissa shared a bit of her story, answered common questions about the cult experience and worked to dispel popular misconceptions about cults and their members. Debbie shared her experience, as Marissa's mother and they both spoke about what they believe needs to happen to help prevent these kinds of atrocities from taking place. This was part of a larger series that Dr. Roth has been doing to expose the Church of Wells in Wells, TX, which has received much media attention lately. Marissa contacted the Grove Family, whose daughter Catherine is now a member of the controversial group, and got in touch with Dottie Laster after watching ABC Nightline cover the Church of Wells on April 5, 2014. The radio interview, originally airing live on April 16, 2014 is now available for all to listen to in The Roth Show's archieves for Wednesday, April 16, 2014 Hour 2. Click on the link below to go directly to the interview or visit www.therothshow.com for more.
